Welcome back. Have you signed up for Adam's Free Training Newsletter? You should do that now.
So, Here’s a sweet tidbit that’s been getting me a lot of crazy cool response from friends on Facebook. I picked it up in a jammed-packed value-filled video tutorial by Internet Marketer, Jim Chao.
It’s called a Virtual Video Handshake and here’s how it works:
Let’s say I’ve just picked up 10 new friends with similar marketing interests. I make a short 20 sec generic welcome video.
I say “Hi, it’s nice to connect, and thank you for accepting my friend request.” I also give a short quip that if we share the same interest in online marketing that I’m there to help in any way I can.
After you upload it to Facebook, you have the option to tag your new friends. I suggest tagging only up to 20. Once you tag them, your welcome video will show up on their profile page until you or they untag ‘em.
Now be sure to UNTAG your new friends after a day or two, and especially if you use the same video for a new group of friends. This way you are showing that you respect their profile, and they are not constantly receiving new updates from other people’s comments.
Now, THIS METHOD COMES WITH A GREAT WARNING!!!
Let me be real clear on what you don’t put in there. You don’t pitch any business opportunity. I’ll say that again. Never pitch any opportunity. Don’t include links to your capture page, blog, company website, or any links whatsoever.
If you are pitching anything, you become a spammer and a vomiter (ick!), and you all know how much we don’t like to spammed or thrown-up on, and you will most definitely be reported andyour account suspended or cancelled.
Also, if anyone requests that you untag them, do so immediately. You are here to connect and network, not make enemies or agitate anyone.
With that said,
Use this method sparingly and with a genuine interest to get to know your new friends, foster you relationship with them, help them, and build trust.
This is strictly a way to say hi, and that you are available to provide true value to them. And you are inviting them to provide true value to you as well.
Remember, this is a first impression. You always want to make a Great First Impression.
Let me show you a welcome video I used and some of the friendly comments I received from it. Happy Facebookin’!

Hey guys. Thank you for your warm welcomes. And always feel free to send me a direct msg. I’m pretty good at responding quickly. Ha! Looking forward to networking with you.
You ran through your warm market leads. Some signed up. Many didn’t. You’re told it’s a numbers game. Hopefully you signed up enough people within your warm market that bought into the “vision” of your business and product that you created some momentum.
So I found myself revisiting the basic fundamentals of a successful network marketing business and realized…. These are so basic that I feel some of the elements are overlooked A LOT. These fundamentals are sequential, meaning they build on each other, but I know many marketers that try to start with Fundamental #2 through #6 [...]
