Welcome back. Have you signed up for Adam's Free Training Newsletter? You should do that now.
So I’ve been using this Social media application add-on for the Firefox browser and am so impressed with it, I thought I’d give it a quick mention.
It’s called Yoono 6.0.1. This little app let’s you have a sidebar on your Firefox browser with a real-time connection to many social media sites. Right now I have it linked to my Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and Flicker profiles (They have others…I just don’t use them right now).
Ups:
Yoono allows a pretty full functionality just on the sidebar.
You have the option to send updates and view all of your friends’ updates to and from each individual social site. But what you’ll really like is that you also have the option to send and receive updates to and from all of your social sites at one time with just one click. It’s a full integration. Yeah!
The real benefit (in my professional opinion) is that now you can play with all your social sites in one place instead of having to jump across tabs on your browser. It saves a lot of time.
Also included: a discovery tool and share button. The discovery lets you search across the www or within specific parameters like related websites, wikipedia, videos, and photos..or across your social media sites.
And it’s one stop sharing with the share button.
Downs:
Right now the developers have it compatible with the major social media sites like Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. But I’d like to see more, like Digg and Squidoo and others.
